Retired Rector of St Peter’s Episcopal Church & Dean of the Northwest Convocation
Born Polish Catholic in Cleveland, Ohio, lovingly described by family as “The Mistake by the Lake,” he moved to Southern California as a teen – the land of sex, drugs and rock ’n roll, of which he took full advantage through high school and college. He attended graduate school and seminary in Berkeley, California. Ordained in the Diocese of Los Angeles in 1983, he was struck to the earth into a life of recovery in September 1985 while serving the first of three parishes in Los Angeles. Jeff is now retired after twenty-eight years as Rector of St. Peter’s in Carson City, the longest serving priest in the 156-year history of the parish. His wife, Marietta, whom he met in 2012, is also in 12-Step recovery. Recovery is the cornerstone of his vocation as a priest, his life as a married man, a dad, and a grandfather.
